General The goal is to increase the HLA awareness among the participants and provide an overview of HLA. It gives an introduction to HLA, background, market positioning, technical overviews, comparisons, and directions Participants Executives, project managers, and developers who need a general understanding of HLA, its purpose, architecture and potential.

Description The course consists of an HLA and simulation introduction, requirements, standardization, and basic principles. Great emphasis is placed on architectural aspects such as interoperability and reuse. A few small demos are included. We cover the FEDEP process for developing HLA compliant simulation. We also provide an overview of the Object Model Template. Finally some basic steps towards introducing HLA in your own organisation are proposed.
