What are the new Object Modeling features in HLA Evolved?Some important news in the new version of the standard are: FOM Modules, a feature that makes it possible to split large monolithic FOMs into modules that are easier to manage. This also makes it possible to separate standard FOM modules from local extensions. It is also possible for several developers to work on different parts of the FOM in parallel. A new version of the XML format that is less rigid and that the user can extend. All predefined items in HLA have been separated into a standardized module called the MOM and Initialization Module (MIM) that is automatically provided by the RTI.

Visual OMT™ 1.5 – the first tool for managing FOM ModulesVisual OMT™ 1.5 is the first tool that allows you to split existing monolithic FOMs into handy FOM Modules with the click of a mouse. There is a special wizard for migrating to the HLA Evolved format. The following picture illustrates the migration process. You can select which types of data (tables) that you want in each module. The predefined information (MIM) is automatically removed during migration.
