Pitch Commander™ – Benefits

Monitor Hosts and Applications

Monitor hosts and their availability. Hosts are grouped by location. System health and the status of applications are displayed graphically. Problems will show up in red. If you need further information just follow the link for a detailed view of the host.

Monitor Federations and Federates

Monitor federations in a graphical view. See federates join, send and receive data, advance time and resign. Data rate and object registration statistics are also provided. Any missing or unexpected federate is clearly indicated.

Powerful Command Set

A rich set of commands, monitors and actions is provided with the product. It gives you the ability to control and monitor hosts and applications. The federation can also be controlled for example by sending interactions, registering synchronization points and initiating save operations.

Applications can be started, stopped and monitored as required. Both executables and batch files/scripts can be controlled.

Distributed Scripting

Develop scripts that start, stop and monitor your applications and federation. Access CPU levels, status of applications and more. You can even ineract with the federation. Scripts are developed in the well-known Python language and can be easily tested in the built in scripting enviroment. Create a button and assign a name, icon and script.

File Transfer

Deploy files like scenarios, terrain data or executables to a large number of hosts using the file transfer functionality. You may also collect resulting log files. File transfers work well both on LAN and WAN and the bandwidth can be easily controlled.

Security Features

You can specify which Commanders that can connect to a specific host. It is also possible to specify which Commanders that are allowed to monitor and which that are allowed to control a host. This is particularly useful when executing federations between different organizations or even countries.

Add Your Own Plug-ins

Do you miss a special feature? Develop your own plug-in to perform special tasks or monitor any parameter on your hosts. Your own functionality will show up together with the predefined functionality. Develop in Java and/or C++ as required by your host and application.
