On March 25 the HLA Evolved standard was approved by the IEEE Standard Activities Board. Pitch is now proud to announce a full range of products that supports the official version of HLA Evolved. Pitch pRTI™ fully supports the HLA Evolved services. Pitch Visual OMT™ supports the HLA Evolved OMT Format. Pitch Developer Studio™ generates object-oriented middleware in C++ and Java that supports the HLA Evolved format. Runtime products such as Pitch Recorder™, Pitch Commander™, Pitch Google Earth Adapter™ and Pitch DIS Adapter™ also support HLA Evolved. Note that the HLA Evolved standard is formally known as IEEE 1516-2010.

Here is an detailed list of some of the HLA Evolved support in our products:

Pitch pRTI™ provides the HLA Evolved API and all of the HLA Evolved services. It is fully capable of loading HLA Evolved FOM modules. In addition to this it provides the HLA 1516-2000 and HLA 1.3 APIs through adapters.

Pitch Visual OMT™ enables you to convert your HLA 1516-2000 FOM into the HLA Evolved format. It also supports splitting the FOM into FOM modules at the same time. The differences in MOM handling and switches is also automatically handled. This summer an even more powerful version will be released that edits several FOM modules and checks inconsistencies.

Pitch Developer Studio™ can develop middleware based on one or several FOM modules. The generated C++ and Java code is also compatible with HLA Evolved RTIs.

Pitch Recorder™ can connect to HLA Evolved federations and record and play back data. It can also filter and decode data based on one or several FOM modules. It even supports the new HLA Evolved feature for filtering recordings based on “producing federate”.

Pitch Commander™ can connect to and monitor HLA Evolved federations using the HLA Evolved Management Object Model.

Pitch GE Adapter™ can use the new HLA Evolved API and HLA Evolved FOM Modules.

Pitch DIS Adapter™ can also use the new HLA Evolved API and HLA Evolved FOM Modules.
